The Baltimore Ravens added a prime pass-catching weapon this offseason.
DeAndre Hopkins has been one of the best wide receivers in the game, and he should make an impact.
However, as good as he may be, the Ravens need more from Zay Flowers, who’s expected to take another leap in his third season.
Flowers wasn’t able to be on the field when the Ravens’ 2024 season came to an end because of a knee injury.
Now, it seems like he’s trending in the right direction and should be ready to go for training camp.
“My knee is great,” Flowers said. “I feel 100 percent. I feel like I’m ready to go, feel like I’m ready for the season. No limits. I’m good.”
Fortunately, Flowers didn’t have surgery and he’s been on hand at OTAs.
Offensive coordinator Todd Monken also claimed that Flowers would have no limitations once he’s fully cleared to get back on the field.
He will be eligible for a contract extension after the 2025 season and should have more than enough motivation to be at his best.
A Pro Bowl selection, he made 74 receptions for 1,059 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns last season, adding nine carries for 56 yards.
The Ravens are expected to be one of the teams to beat in the AFC next season, and with the strong chemistry Flowers has built with quarterback Lamar Jackson, he could be in for a breakout season.
