23-year-old Frenchman Terence Atmane is having the week of his life at the Cincinnati Open. The 136-ranked southpaw played brilliantly on Wednesday as he took out fourth-ranked Taylor Fritz for his first Top-5 win, 3-6 7-5 6-3.
It was Atmane’s first Top-20 win as well.
He has defeated Yoshihito Nishioka, Flavio Cobolli, Joao Fonseca and now Fritz, to reach his first Masters 1000 quarter-final.
Atmane will face Holger Rune, the No.7 seed in the last eight in Cincinnati.
