Stock Ticker

What are the main events for today?

It’s going to be a pretty boring day on the data front as we have only low tier releases that won’t influence expectations. In the European session, we have the final French Q1 GDP, and as all the GDP releases, the market won’t care much about it because it’s old news.

In the American session, we have the Richmond Fed Manufacturing Index and the Dallas Fed Services Index. These are not market moving releases but they will likely confirm what we’ve been seeing in the past weeks and what was expected after the de-escalation in the trade war, that is an improvement in soft data.

Finally, we conclude the day with the FOMC Meeting Minutes, which is another release containing old data and rarely a market mover.

Central bank speakers:

  • 15:00 GMT/11:00 ET – BoE’s Pill (neutral – voter)
