US stock markets struggle on Iran angst. S&P 500 down 0.8%

The stock market was unnerved on Tuesday as Trump took steps towards US attacks on Iran. Nothing is decided yet but the temperature rose after the President messaged ‘unconditional surrender’ on Truth Social.

Selling picked up throughout the day and virtually wiped out Mondays’ rally:

  • S&P 500 down 50 points or 0.8%
  • Nasdaq -0.9%
  • Russell 2000 -1.0%
  • DJIA -0.7%
  • Toronto TSX -0.2%
