Context
While pictures and reports from these rallies appeared across various outlets, we noticed they all originated from one source. While further investigations into them continue, we consider their claim “Research in Progress.”
Reports surfaced that supporters of 2024 Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump, former U.S. President Donald Trump’s own 2024 bid, had begun attending rallies wearing diapers as an emblem.
Multiple users posted pictures depicting Trump rally rallies held across Pennsylvania; on April 24, the blog Dispatches from Trumpland also published photographs from this rally and another post featuring diapers on April 11.
According to social media posts, Trump supporters started appearing at rallies wearing diapers and holding signs reading “Real Men Wear Diapers.” They are even said to have given nicknames such as “Diaper Don” to former President, with one woman even sporting a sweater with “Diapers Over Dems.” We found some clothing worn during rallies for sale – though we couldn’t determine when exactly those designs became available — possibly after this purported trend went viral.
Since many photographs that had circulated were from Dispatches from Trumpland blog writers, we reached out to them in order to obtain more details regarding rallies they may be covering. Therefore we rated their claims as being in “Research in Progress”. Should any replies come back we will update our story accordingly.
No one knows for certain where this trend originated, but its participants seem intent on engaging in jokes and comments regarding Donald Trump’s smell and purported intestinal distress. Rumors surrounding Trump’s digestive troubles that require diaper changes since at least his presidential election have spread; internet users speculated he had one during a 2019 meeting with Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan President Recep Tayyip.
Kinzinger elaborated for MeidasTouch, a progressive media network. He said to combine armpit hairs, ketchup, butt and makeup into a blender then bottle as cologne – that was his explanation of it all! “Everyone seems to be learning about this now!” he marvelled.
On Dec 22, 2023, filmmaker Morgan J. Freeman tweeted with the comment, stating that President Donald Trump smells due to infrequent changes of adult diapers!:.

Todd Blanche read the post aloud to Judge Juan Merchan who presided over his trial, prompting a court stenographer to commit it to record. Blanche protested the fact that while Trump was subject to a gag order but prosecution witnesses remained free to express themselves freely during questioning by law enforcement agents.
