Update, 10 AM: Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik have made an appearance as Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler from Young Sheldon for its finale episode.
CBS released some early images from an episode set to premiere Thursday, May 16 on both Paramount+ and their network TV broadcasts.
Last seen together was at The Big Bang Theory series finale airing May 2019.
Parsons serves as both executive producer and narrator of Young Sheldon; Bialik also appears as voiceover talent on two episodes of this series.

PREVIOUS, March 6: For fans of The Big Bang Theory, The Young Sheldon finale promises to be extra-memorable as Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik reprise their respective characters Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler from Young Sheldon – it will air Thursday May 16 on CBS and Paramount+ respectively.
Details regarding their involvement with Young Sheldon remain to be determined, though this marks the first time their characters will reunite since The Big Bang Theory finale aired May 2019.
Young Sheldon is an animated prequel to Big Bang that follows Sheldon through his younger years. Parsons played him as an adult on Big Bang; Ian Armitage brought Young Sheldon to life as his younger self.

Young Sheldon has an uncommon talent in mathematics and science which often stands him apart in an otherwise religious and football-dominated community. While his family must find ways to cope with him as they navigate this uncharted territory of his worldview.
As well as Armitage, Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Annie Potts Montana Jordan Raegan Revord Emily Osment as well as Jim Parsons as Sheldon also star.

Young Sheldon earned its spot as TV’s No.1 comedy since The Big Bang Theory ended, becoming No. 1 once its seventh and final season debuted in February 2019. It quickly rose through the rankings to become TV’s favorite comedy since that point.
Chuck Lorre is joined as executive producer by Steven Molaro, Steve Holland, Nick Bakay, Jim Parsons and Todd Spiewak – with Young Sheldon being produced through Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

With its growing success, Young Sheldon creators Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro and Steve Holland announced on Tuesday a multicam spinoff, following Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy (Emily Osment) as they raise their young family together while facing adulthood, parenting and marriage obstacles in Texas. The multicam project features 10 episodes.
