Trump administration has moved to restore some terminated foreign aid programs

Trump administration has moved to restore some terminated foreign aid programs.

Reuters with the info, citing “six sources familiar with the matter”.

In brief:

  • moved to reinstate at least six recently cancelled U.S. foreign aid programs
  • programs are said to include the World Food Programme awards in Lebanon, Syria, Somalia, Jordan, Iraq and Ecuador

Such programs do a lot of good. Kudos.

We wait today for a potential call from China to Trump to maybe dilute some of the tariffs. Trump said earlier he thinks China will call. Let’s hope so.
