Hopefully the “unidentified minor leaguer” in discussion is a very low level player. Chris Paddack probably wouldn’t even make their postseason roster. At best, he might be an improvement over Keider Montero. Then they could try Troy Melton in the bullpen. Long-term, Melton is a starter but I don’t think he’s ready.
