The sports world was shaken to its core yesterday when the Green Bay Packers completed a trade for former Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons and signed the three-time All-Pro to a record-breaking four-year, $188 million contract. From NFL fans to actual NFLers, let’s take a look at some of the best responses to the trade.
Micah speaks up
The Packers’ new pass rusher shared a video on social media that showcased some of his most memorable highlights from his time in Dallas. He closed out the video with highlights from Packers Hall of Famer Reggie White, who signed with Green Bay as a free agent in 1993.
Top Cowboys players break their silence
Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl wide receiver CeeDee Lamb shared a picture of Parsons in a photoshopped Green Bay Packers jersey. Above the picture, Lamb put a smiling face single tear emoji.
Meanwhile, two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs used emojis to express how broken up he is about his former teammate being traded away.
A Green Bay rival shows concern
Chicago Bears cornerback Jaquan Brisker didn’t seem too thrilled that the Packers landed Parsons. He first posted a face-palming emoji before sharing his true feelings.
Ayo, lemme refresh my 💩.. ain’t no way he went where ?!?!?

Former NFL greats give their two cents
Two former NFLers who spent some of the best years of their careers in the state of Texas had a lot to say about the move.
DeMarcus Ware, the Dallas Cowboys’ all-time leader in sacks, had to do two face-palms to express his disapproval with the trade.
Wisconsin native and former Houston Texans great J.J. Watt was not nearly as disappointed as Ware. He applauded the Packers for making such a big move.
A move of this magnitude is so rare in this league.
What a play by Green Bay.

Even NBAers made their feelings heard
Several NBA players spoke about the shocking trade. However, the most memorable responses came from the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Julius Randle and the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Donovan Mitchell. As Cowboys fans, they were not pleased to see Parsons go.
I’m sick!!!!! It’s hard being a cowboys fan damn!! 😭😭😭😭
