The month of April 2025 consists of three official stock market holidays, during which trading across various segments, including equities, derivatives, and securities lending and borrowing (SLB) will be suspended.

Impact on Trading and Settlement
On March 31, 2025, the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will function on a limited schedule, with trading available only during the evening session, which will run from 5:00 PM to 11:30/11:55 PM.
In April, however, all trading operations on the BSE and NSE will be halted. This includes transactions in the equity, derivatives, and SLB segments. Additionally, the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will also observe a full-day closure on Good Friday (April 18), and on Mahavir Jayanti (April 10), and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti (April 14). The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) will also remain fully closed on all three dates.
