Stephen A. Smith Calls For Big Change With Giants

The New York Giants managed to score six points in the first game of the season, a loss to the Washington Commanders.

That’s not good for a team with a head coach and general manager on the hot seat, especially after watching former quarterback Daniel Jones put up 33 points in his first game with the Indianapolis Colts.

That’s why Stephen A. Smith believes the Giants can’t afford to allow this situation to escalate and need to make a bold move sooner rather than later.

Dart looked like the real deal in the preseason, and the first-round pick from the 2025 NFL Draft was a talking point around the league.

Then again, the Giants were always going to turn to the veteran Wilson to start the season.

Perhaps it’s too early to switch to the rookie after just one game, considering he was a little raw coming out of college.

Yet, the Giants might be in desperation mode already, knowing that jobs could be on the line.

A team ideally wouldn’t rush things with a rookie quarterback, as throwing them into the fray too early could hinder their development.

Nevertheless, Dart might be the Giants’ best choice right now.

Wilson has been a shell of himself since he left the Seattle Seahawks, and he poses no real threat to a defense at this point in his career.
