There has been a lot of buzz surrounding the New England Patriots over the past few months, despite them being one of the worst teams in the NFL in 2024.
Many believe this team could take a massive leap in production and play a lot better, finishing the year above .500 and potentially contending for a playoff spot.
The front office has made several moves to improve the roster, which include adding Stefon Diggs to their wide receiver room.
Having a seasoned veteran like Diggs in the room could help Drake Maye take the next step as a passer, a player who had an up-and-down rookie year.
Diggs and Maye seem to be getting along well, according to most reports from training camp, and this was confirmed during a recent interview with Kay Adams of the “Up and Adams Show.”
When talking about his new quarterback, Diggs said, “He’s a lot cooler than I thought.”

Passing a coolness test and being a great NFL quarterback are, of course, two different things, but it’s encouraging for fans to see Diggs in a good mood.
He’s been one of the best wide receivers in the league during his career when healthy, but Diggs has had his share of off-field struggles with front offices and teammates.
If he’s happy, Patriots fans will be happy, as he could turn into the alpha receiver this team has been looking for since Tom Brady left.
Can Maye and his new teammates figure it out in his sophomore season and put pressure on his AFC East counterparts?
