The Miami Dolphins are in desperate need of some momentum.
While starting the season 0-1 isn’t the end of the world, the narrative around this team has been pretty negative for most of the offseason.
And after allowing 33 points and scoring just eight in the season opener, they need a win in the worst possible way.
Fortunately for them, they’re about to face off with Tua Tagovailoa‘s favorite team to throw against.
As pointed out by FinsXtra on X, Tua has been utterly dominant against the Patriots in his career.

So far, he’s never lost a game against them, going 7-0.
He’s completed 69.1 percent of his passes and averaged 230.8 passing yards per game for a 98.8 passer rating.
More impressively, he has 12 total touchdowns against just four interceptions.
Given Tagovailoa’s tendency to turn the ball over with head-scratching throws, that’s a lot to say.
Then again, context matters.
It’s worth noting that the New England Patriots have been a bottom-feeder since Tagovailoa took the reins of the offense, and that won’t necessarily be the case this time around.
They won’t have the same personnel, roster, or even coaches from their previous meetings.
Moreover, the Dolphins look like a team with no direction on either side of the field right now.
Both teams kicked off the season with disappointing losses; they know they can’t afford to drop to a 0-2 record.
Will Tua continue his supremacy over the Patriots and buy Mike McDaniel some more time? We’ll just have to wait and see.
