The Green Bay Packers have made a franchise-altering move that could reshape the NFC landscape this season.
In a league where quarterback pressure often decides games, their move brought linebacker Micah Parsons to Green Bay, in what represents one of the most significant trades in recent memory.

The Packers made a major splash by acquiring linebacker Micah Parsons in a blockbuster trade with the Cowboys, sending two future first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark in return.
The deal comes after Parsons signed a four-year, $188 million extension that makes him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
Parsons has accumulated more than 50 sacks and 210 pressures since his debut, establishing himself as one of the game’s premier defensive forces.
His versatility sets him apart from other pass rushers. Parsons can terrorize quarterbacks while also dropping into coverage, forcing offensive coordinators to game-plan specifically around his presence each week.
For Green Bay, the acquisition solves a persistent problem with generating consistent pressure.
Parsons will team with Rashan Gary and Lukas Van Ness to create one of the most dangerous front sevens in football.
The addition fits perfectly with defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley’s system.
Hafley prefers creating pressure without heavy blitzing, which allows the secondary to play more conservatively and limit explosive plays.
Parsons should also benefit the offense led by Jordan Love. More pressure typically leads to more turnovers and better field position for the offense.
The price was steep, but Green Bay’s bold gamble could prove decisive in their pursuit of an NFC North title and a deep playoff run.
