Real Madrid have the chance to create some much-needed positive headlines this evening when they visit Sevilla.
It has been a thoroughly miserable fortnight for the 15-time European champions who appear to have imploded with players fighting among themselves, star striker Kylian Mbappe trading public barbs with coach Alvaro Arbeloa and president Florentino Perez calling a snap election.
They did return to winning ways on Thursday night with a routine win over Oviedo but the game was played out in front of a hostile Santiago Bernabeu.
The Madrid players may, therefore, relish the trip south to Seville to face a side still not out of the relegation dogfight.
Sevilla are 12th but only four points above the bottom three with two games remaining.
