Serena Williams was influential when she was the World No.1 and powering her way to Grand Slam glory multiple times a year. Now retired, she holds more sway than ever before.

The American icon and GOAT of women’s tennis was named to Time’s annual list of the world’s most influential people.

She joins a list that includes fellow “titans” Simone Biles, Lorne Michaels and Bonnie Chan.

Does Williams still miss her barnstorming days on the WTA Tour?

“I miss it a lot, with all my heart,” she told Time.

These days the mom of Olympia and Adira has more on her plate than ever before. And it’s paying off for the CEO of Serena Ventures. Per Time, “Williams has put her own money into more than 120 companies, 14 of them valued at $1 billion or more. Her company, Serena Ventures, has raised over $100 million of outside capital to invest in more than 30 companies since 2021.”

And when she’s not making bank she’s mingling at the top of the celebrity foodchain, like she did at the Super Bowl, when she appeared on the field as a dancer for Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show.

Williams is also a part owner of the WNBA’s Toronto Tempo, among other things.
