Sean McDermott Takes A Jab At Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have been the most dominant team in the AFC, making the Super Bowl the past three seasons.

Eventually, they are due for some regression, as parity is natural in this league, but it might be hard to pinpoint when they will falter.

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott recently said he believes it’s going to be this year, as Kansas City will fall short of the record held by his franchise.

“Just because it didn’t work out four years in a row (for the Bills), nobody’s ever gonna do that again. … They don’t know how hard that is to get to four straight Super Bowls. It’ll never happen again,” McDermott said.

McDermott believes someone else from the AFC is due for a turn, hopefully his team.

The Chiefs have had the Bills’ number in the playoffs recently, even when quarterback Josh Allen had an MVP campaign.

Something has to change for teams in the AFC if they want to get past the Chiefs, which has not happened in five of the past six seasons.

It will be interesting to see if opponents take a different approach to facing the Chiefs in 2025, or if the same formulas and game plans lead to a different result.
