Sauce Gardner Names Best WR In New York

The New York Giants and New York Jets have struggled to get going on offense for years.

However, each of those teams can brag about having one of the best and most promising wide receivers in the game.

With that in mind, Kay Adams asked Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner to share his thoughts on the best one in New York right now.

Unsurprisingly, he named teammate Garrett Wilson.

“Obviously, Garrett. We came in together. He a freak of nature. His route-running, his bend, his hands, his versatility, he’s one of them ones. I’m always gonna go with ‘G,’” Gardner said.

Wilson is among the best young wide receivers in the NFL, and he just landed a massive contract extension.

Even so, there’s competition in town, and as good as Wilson has been, Malik Nabers looked like an absolute force in his rookie season with the Giants.

With one of the worst quarterback situations in the league, Nabers was the lone bright spot in his offense, and it wasn’t particularly close.

Nabers has missed offseason work as he recovers from a lingering toe injury, but now that he arguably will have a better quarterback, the sky seems to be the limit for him.

As for Wilson, he will continue to face question marks at quarterback, as Justin Fields has never been known for being a proficient passer.

Whatever the case, this is one of those situations where you couldn’t go wrong with either of them.
