Robert Griffin III Names Top 5 NFL Head Coaches

Robert Griffin III has been known to create quite a stir on social media during his post-NFL playing days.

He started a discussion about who the top five head coaches in the NFL are right now, which is a tough task considering how accomplished the top tier is right now.

RGIII’s top five head coaches, in order, are Andy Reid of the Kansas City Chiefs, Nick Sirianni of the Philadelphia Eagles, John Harbaugh of the Baltimore Ravens, Dan Campbell of the New England Patriots, and Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It’s a tough list to argue with, especially with Reid at the top after yet another impressive season that fell just short of completing the first 3-peat in NFL history.

Many had Sirianni on the hot seat prior to last season, but after leading the Eagles to a second Super Bowl appearance in three years and winning his first championship, he can’t be excluded from any top-5 lists.

Harbaugh and Tomlin have been consistent leaders and winners for over a decade, while Campbell has turned the Lions into one of the league’s most legitimate contenders, something they have never been throughout their franchise’s history.

Other accomplished coaches have re-entered the mix in 2025 as the New England Patriots hired Mike Vrabel and the Las Vegas Raiders hired Pete Carroll, and while both would have easily been on many top-5 lists in the past, they will have to earn their way back after some time away.

RGIII doesn’t always have great takes, but he did a solid job here.
