John Harbaugh has been the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens for almost two decades.
He took over in 2008 and has one Super Bowl win.
That’s why, as poorly as the team has fared this season, his job is reportedly secure, at least for now.

This makes sense, as Harbaugh has earned the benefit of the doubt.
Then again, even though he’s currently without quarterback Lamar Jackson due to injury, it’s not like fans don’t have a right to contemplate his firing.
He’s had multiple instances of blown double-digit leads, and his team has underperformed in the playoffs despite having a perennial MVP candidate at QB and, at times, an elite defense.
That’s not the case this season, and the front office should be held accountable for the personnel, but it’s not like Harbaugh is free of blame.
Yet, firing a coach during the season has rarely led to success.
However, a team needs to be careful not to get tied to a head coach forever and keep bringing them back out of respect for what they previously achieved.
At the end of the day, coaches are getting paid millions to win.
The Ravens are a Super Bowl hopeful, and regularly failing to live up to those expectations should lead to major changes at some point.
