Newcastle make the long trip east to face Qarabag tonight looking to claim a first-leg advantage in their Champions League play-off.

The Tynesiders slipped out of the automatic qualification spots on the final matchday and must now take on two extra games against the Azerbaijani side.

Newcastle warmed up for the tie with a 3-1 win at Aston Villa in the FA Cup at the weekend.

Qarabag were also victorious on Saturday, beating Imisli 1-0 away from home.
