United States, March 29, 2025 / AlexaBlockchain/ – WHAT: Today, the Philadelphia 76ers and Crypto.com launched “Spectrum Showdown,” the final mini-game of their Web3 mobile video game series. This mini-game is the final test before stepping onto the virtual Spectrum court. “The Ref” stands between the player and the game, and the only way past him is to win a high-stakes three-point contest. Fans can play the game HERE for a chance to win prizes, including a Joel Embiid-signed Spectrum basketball and a custom 76ers City Edition jersey.
In celebration of the launch of this new mini-game, the 76ers and Crypto.com will be hosting an event at Barcade (Center City location) in Philadelphia on April 1 at 7 p.m. Open to the public, gamers will have the chance to play “Spectrum Showdown” and compete in friendly competition throughout the evening. The top three highest scores of the night will win prizes, such as tickets to the upcoming game on April 5 and an autographed Joel Embiid jersey. The 76ers take on the New York Knicks at 7:30 p.m. that night, and the game will be shown at the event, where fans can score additional autographed prizes.
Inspired by “Buckets on Broad” and “Spectrum Sprint,” which the 76ers and Crypto.com unveiled in November and December of 2024, “Spectrum Showdown” is the final boss battle of the video game series. After honing their skills in “Buckets on Broad” and making their way to The Spectrum in “Spectrum Sprint,” players must now face off against the toughest challenge yet – the Ref.
