Orlando Brown Reveals Why Bengals Will Be ‘Special’ This Season

The Cincinnati Bengals need to bounce back this season.

They struggled to overcome a slow start last season and wound up missing the playoffs despite posting some huge numbers on offense.

That won’t be the case this time, at least if you ask Bengals tackle Orlando Brown.

Asked to share his thoughts on his team, the veteran gushed about their offensive talent.

“We’re really special,” Brown said. “I’m really proud of the way that we worked this offseason, just with the intent and focus from us as individuals, as players. Everything that the coaches threw at us, we were able to respond really well. I mean, I’m excited, man. At the end of the day, paying Tee [Higgins] and Ja’Marr [Chase], making them more comfortable, knowing that they’re going to be able to go out there and sell out even more than they have in the past, I think it’s only going to make us better, to be honest.”

Everybody in the NFL knows what the Bengals are capable of on offense when they’re at full strength.

Joe Burrow is a top-tier quarterback with a dynamic set of weapons, and he posted some of the most impressive numbers in NFL history last season, while Chase paced wide receivers in all of the major categories.

Unfortunately, you have to play on both ends of the field.

The Bengals can’t do much if they score 45 points and give up 46.

They need to get their act together on defense, otherwise, they will just waste another outstanding season from their best players in their primes.

More than that, head coach Zac Taylor needs to get the ball rolling from Week 1.

They’ve failed to start strong in the six seasons he’s been in charge of the team, so perhaps he will change his approach to training camp and the preseason.

Whatever the case, the Bengals are too talented to miss the playoffs again, and there will be no margin for error or excuses this time around.
