Nottingham Forest sign Dan Ndoye from Bologna

Nottingham Forest have strengthened their squad with the capture of Switzerland international Dan Ndoye from Bologna.

The 24-year-old wide man has agreed a five-year contract at the City Ground, ending his two-year spell in Serie A.

Ndoye was a standout performer for Bologna last season, scoring nine goals in 41 matches and famously netting the decisive strike in the Coppa Italia final against AC Milan – a victory that delivered the club’s first major silverware in more than half a century.

Speaking after sealing the move, Ndoye expressed his excitement about joining Forest: “It is a really exciting time at Forest and I knew straight away that I wanted to be a part of the project.

“It’s a really ambitious team with a fantastic history and I can’t wait to get started.”

Since making his senior international debut in 2022, Ndoye has won 22 caps for Switzerland and scored three goals.

He becomes Forest’s third significant summer signing following the arrivals of Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha from Botafogo.

The club has also made key moves in the transfer market elsewhere – selling Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United, while managing to tie down Morgan Gibbs-White to a new contract despite Tottenham triggering a £60m release clause in his previous deal.
