Newcastle face one of the toughest tests in European football tonight when they host reigning Spanish champions Barcelona on Thursday.

Barca have made a strong start domestically and hammered Valencia 6-0 on Sunday. The Catalan giants have not been crowned champions of Europe since 2015, however, and will hope to improve that record this season.

Newcastle edged past Wolves 1-0 on Saturday for their first win in the Premier League this season.
