The new Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was sworn in today replacing Justin Trudeau.
Carney is saying that:
- This is a time of great consequence for our country
- The government is to improve affordability and make Canada more secure
- He plans to go to France and UK
- Hopes to have a call with Trump,but does not have a plan to do so.
- Talk of Canada becoming 51st state is crazy.
- He will never ever in any way, shape, or form, be part of the United States.
- Says he respects with Trump is looking to accomplish.
- Has made progress with US Pres. Trump; will find a solution
Needless to say, Pres. Trump was not a big fan of Trudeau. What will the relationship be with the new PM? Maybe it was personal? Trump can be that way…..
Nevertheless, it is clear that Trump wants the US auto production to return to the US from both Mexico and Canada. That will take time for it to happen though. He also wants lumber to sourced in the US as well (and energy).
It was announced earlier today, that Trump will meet with oil executives on energy dominance agenda next week.
