NASDAQ index traded to a new session high. S&P and Dow now up over 1%

The NASDAQ index continues to lead the rally, surging more than 400 points, or 1.58%, to 25,726 after reaching an intraday high of 25,741.14. The broader market is participating in the move as well, with both the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining more than 1% on the day. The Dow is up roughly 502 points, or 1.02%, near 49,800, while the S&P 500 has climbed 80.17 points, or 1.10%.

The momentum keeps the bullish trend firmly intact, with both the NASDAQ and S&P 500 on pace to close at fresh record highs after also finishing at records yesterday. The Dow continues to lag slightly behind, with its all-time high at 50,412.65 still serving as the next major upside target.

Large-cap technology and growth stocks are once again leading the charge. AMD and Super Micro Computer are the standout performers, each rallying around 16% on the session. Corning is up 13.69% after announcing a partnership deal with Nvidia earlier today, while Disney has added 6.33% after reporting earnings that topped analyst expectations.

Below is a list of some of today’s notable large-cap gainers.
