NFL training camps have kicked into high gear with preseason games approaching.
The quarterback position continues to drive most storylines, especially in the NFC, where several teams are banking on younger arms to lead playoff pushes.
Former NFL executive Mike Tannenbaum recently stirred up debate when he released his top five NFC quarterback rankings for the upcoming season.
The list places Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love at the top, followed by Washington Commanders star Jayden Daniels at No. 2.
Detroit Lions veteran Jared Goff is third, Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts landed fourth, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield rounded out the list.

Love’s being at No. 1 is surprising.
He’s entering his third full season as a starter, having shown flashes of elite play mixed with inconsistent stretches.
His ranking above more accomplished players raises questions about whether potential outweighs track record.
Perhaps more surprising is that Daniels is behind Love at No. 2.
He won NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year after helping Washington to an NFC Championship Game appearance.
His dual-threat ability and composure under pressure impressed throughout his debut campaign.
Goff at No. 3 reflects his consistent, high-output play for the Lions, who earned the top seed in the conference before losing to Daniels and the Commanders in the playoffs.
Hurts at No. 4 is likely to generate pushback, based on his recent Super Bowl MVP performance and overall consistency.
He has proven himself in high-pressure situations more than the names ranked ahead of him.
Mayfield’s inclusion reflects his impressive bounce-back season in Tampa Bay.
The veteran showed particular effectiveness against pressure while helping the Buccaneers make the playoffs.
Tannenbaum’s rankings suggest the NFC quarterback hierarchy is shifting toward youth and upside rather than past production.
