The NFC West stands ready to deliver a compelling divisional battle in the 2025 NFL season.
Its four teams have invested heavily in upgrades, creating a landscape where any team could emerge as the winner.
The defending champion Los Angeles Rams made strategic additions while maintaining their core, and the San Francisco 49ers are determined to bounce back from a disappointing campaign.
Former 49ers head coach Mike Singletary recently offered his perspective on the upcoming race.
“When I look at the NFC West, my gut tells me the 49ers. But I must say that, if I look at the roster, the Rams are going to be right there,” Singletary said on “Up & Adams,” via Coach Yac.

The 49ers enter as many experts’ favorites despite finishing 6-11 last season.
Their optimism centers around the return of Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle and Nick Bosa, plus a healthy Brock Purdy at quarterback.
The return of Robert Saleh as defensive coordinator adds another layer of confidence. San Francisco also benefits from the NFL’s easiest schedule with opponents having posted a .415 winning percentage last season.
The Rams captured the division crown with a 10-7 record and have since bolstered their offense by acquiring Davante Adams.
Matthew Stafford provides veteran stability at quarterback, while the defensive front featuring Jared Verse and Braden Fiske remains one of the league’s most feared units.
However, the Rams face a tougher schedule and questions in their secondary.
The Arizona Cardinals present an intriguing threat with QB Kyler Murray healthy and an improved defense.
Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks bring unpredictability with Sam Darnold at quarterback and Cooper Kupp providing a proven target.
San Francisco and Los Angeles each possess a playoff-caliber roster, making Singletary’s assessment particularly relevant.
