The major US stock indices are opening higher. For the NASDAQ index it closed at new record levels each day last week.. Another positive day-to-day would equal another record.
For the S&P index, it close marginally lower on Friday. However, if it were to close above 6297.36, it would represent a new record as well. It is currently trading above that level at 6314.22.
A snapshot of the market currently shows:
- Dow industrial average up 60 points or 0.14% at 44401
- S&P index up 17.37 points or 0.28% at 6314.22
- NASDAQ index up 89 points or 0.42% of 20982.70.
- Russell 2000 up 10.59 points or 0.47% 2250.76.
