Even though we’re not even midway through the NFL season, several teams are already thinking about positioning for the 2026 draft.
With it being a quarterback league now more than ever, it’s not a surprise to hear a lot of talk revolving around that position.
With that in mind, former NFL player Louis Riddick shared his thoughts on the potential QB1 in this upcoming class.
“Of the guys that I have seen, it would be Dante Moore from Oregon,” Riddick said.

Riddick raved about Moore’s poise in the pocket, leadership, and all the different arm angles he can use to throw.
Moore’s collegiate career got off to a rocky start.
As a heralded high school recruit, he struggled at UCLA, plagued by turnovers and failing to cope with the physicality of the college game.
He then transferred to Oregon, even though that meant backing up Dillon Gabriel.
Moore made the most of that year to learn and bulk up, and now it’s paying off in a big way.
The arm talent is impressive, and though he’s not particularly mobile, he might be the best pocket passer and deep thrower in his class.
Of course, a lot can happen from today until the draft, and quarterbacks Drew Allar, Fernando Mendoza and LaNorris Sellers will also make noise.
But for now, Riddick has a valid choice for his No. 1 QB.
