The Tennessee Titans couldn’t get much of a return on an investment last season.
They traded two draft picks to the Kansas City Chiefs for cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, then signed him to a four-year contract worth $76.4 million.
Unfortunately, his first season with Tennessee came to an early end, as he sustained a quadriceps injury in the fifth game.
Fast forward to today, and the 28-year-old is ready to get back on the field.
Sneed told KTAL NBC 6 News that he’s back to full strength and motivated to prove he’s still a star.
“I’m healthy, I’m healthy as I’ve been,” Sneed said, via Buck Reising. “Last year, my first year, didn’t go as planned, but it’s time to come out and show the world what God’s been instilling in me this entire year. I’m ready to get back on the field, that’s my life, that’s what I do for a living. I missed the whole year and I have to remind everybody who L’Jarius Sneed is.”

Sneed knows he didn’t hold up his end of the bargain in the first season of his contract.
He can be a lockdown corner when he’s on the field, as he played a massive role in coordinator Steve Spagnuolo’s championship-winning defense in Kansas City.
The Titans aren’t likely to be in the playoff mix this season, as they still have to address more needs on the roster, and they will have a rookie quarterback.
But if Cam Ward proves to be the real deal, and Sneed turns back the clock on the other side of the ball, the Titans can shock some people.
