Wolves host Tottenham at Molineux on Saturday in a crucial Premier League clash at the bottom end of the table.

Wolves have already had their relegation confirmed following a disappointing campaign, with their return to the Championship sealed earlier this week.

Rob Edwards’s side have now lost 22 league matches this season and could suffer another unwanted record if their defensive struggles continue. However, their recent head-to-head record offers some encouragement, as they are unbeaten in their last six meetings with Spurs.

Tottenham, meanwhile, remain in the relegation battle and are still searching for their first league win of 2026. Roberto De Zerbi’s team showed signs of improvement in a 2-2 draw with Brighton, but a late equaliser denied them a much-needed victory.

That result extended Spurs’ winless run to 15 Premier League matches, leaving them just two points adrift of safety. With time running out, anything less than three points here would significantly damage their chances of avoiding relegation.

Team news for Wolves v Tottenham

Wolves have a number of injury concerns heading into the weekend, with Angel Gomes and Ladislav Krejci both doubts after picking up issues in the defeat to Leeds United. Jose Sa and Matt Doherty are also doubts, while Enso Gonzalez, Sam Johnstone and Yerson Mosquera are unavailable.

Mateus Mane could be handed an opportunity in midfield if Gomes is not fit, while defensive reshuffling may be required depending on Krejci’s availability.

Tottenham welcomed James Maddison back into the squad last time out, although he is not yet ready to start. However, several key players remain sidelined, including Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero and Dejan Kulusevski, while both Destiny Udogie and Pape Sarr have picked up knocks.

De Zerbi may look to freshen up his midfield options, with Lucas Bergvall pushing for a start after making an impact off the bench against Brighton.
