“This is crazy. Yes, I think Patrick Mahomes is clearly better than all the other quarterbacks. When we talk about elite quarterbacks. You’re not comparing yourself with nobody else but Patrick Mahomes. I think it’s super disrespectful. He is clearly the best quarterback and the best player in this league,” McCoy said.

McCoy viewed the fourth-place ranking as more than a questionable analysis.
He considered it outright disrespectful to the three-time Super Bowl champion.
The former Philadelphia Eagles standout acknowledged that talent discussions might include names like Josh Allen, creating room for legitimate debate about pure physical abilities.
Performance under pressure tells a different story entirely.
McCoy emphasized how Mahomes has never finished worse than an AFC Championship appearance since becoming Kansas City’s starter.
Even during his statistical down seasons, Mahomes continues to outperform other quarterbacks during their peak moments.
The Chiefs’ quarterback thrives in hostile environments, winning crucial games without home-field advantage when expectations work against him.
McCoy highlighted this clutch factor as the separator between Mahomes and his contemporaries.
