Lamine Yamal levels after Catalan club fall behind inside first minute

Lamine Yamal scored his first goal back at the Camp Nou as Barcelona drew level after being stunned by a goal from Pablo Ibanez inside the first minute.

The Catalan club were hoping to bounce back after a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday.

But for Hansi Flick’s men, the start could hardly have been more disastrous, conceding after inside the first minute when Ibanez tapped home from close range for the visitors following a corner.

The lead, however, lasted little over seven minutes. Pouncing on a loose ball across the Alavez box, the 18-year-old lashed an effort high into the net from just a few yards out to get the hosts back on level terms.

Should the result stay as it is, Barcelona would move top of LaLiga on goal difference, albeit having played one more game than their fierce rivals Real Madrid, who take on Girona tomorrow.
