Kane hits hat-trick as Bayern complete domestic double

Harry Kane took his season’s tally to 61 goals after scoring a hat-trick to help Bayern Munich lift the German Cup and complete a domestic double.

The Bundesliga champions saw off holders Stuttgart 3-0 in Berlin to claim the trophy for a 21st time and the club’s first triumph since 2020.

Kane put Bayern ahead shortly after the break before striking the crossbar with a powerful effort with 10 minutes remaining.

However, moments later he grabbed his second, finishing after a one-two with Luis Diaz.

The England captain was not finished there and added a third in stoppage time when he fired past Alexander Nubel from the penalty spot after Michael Olise’s cross had been blocked by the arm of Angelo Stiller.

Champions held in last game

In Serie A, title-winners Inter played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Bologna to end both sides’ respective campaigns.

Federico Dimarco had given Inter the lead but the hosts responded with three unanswered goals, courtesy of Federico Bernardeschi, Tommaso Pobega and a Piotr Zielinski own goal.

Pio Esposito pulled one back for Cristian Chivu’s men shortly after the hour mark before Andy Diouf brought the sides level with five minutes of the 90 remaining.

Meanwhile, Lazio beat already-relegated Pisa 2-1 to secure a ninth-placed finish. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and former Barcelona and Chelsea forward Pedro grabbed the goals for Lazio, while Stefano Moreo netted for the league’s bottom club.

LaLiga relegation fight goes down to the wire

Alongside Barcelona’s defeat and Real Madrid’s win, there was intense final-game drama playing out across the Spanish top-flight.

In the relegation battle, Mallorca’s place in the Spanish second tier was confirmed despite winning 3-0 against Real Oviedo.

Their departure from the top-flight was sealed courtesy of a inferior goal difference to both Levante and Osasuna – with all three teams finishing on 42 points.

Girona are also down after drawing 1-1 with Elche in their final game. Elche, Sevilla and Alaves all secured their top-flight status for next season.

In the hunt for a European place, Getafe edged past Osasuna 1-0 to secure a Conference League spot at the expense of Valencia and Rayo Vallecano – who both won.

Celta also confirmed their Europa League place with a 1-0 victory over Sevilla, while fifth-placed Real Betis ended their impressive league campaign with a 2-1 win against Levante.

Elsewhere, Espanyol and Copa del Rey winners Real Sociedad played out a 1-1 stalemate.
