The Pittsburgh Steelers are among the most historic teams in the NFL.
They have had championship DNA from the beginning, and even though they’ve had some ups and downs throughout the years, the Steelers keep finding ways of having records above .500.
Recent seasons haven’t provided any deep playoff runs or significant wins, but they believe they’ve unlocked a new formula to help their cause.
By signing Aaron Rodgers, the Steelers added a quarterback with plenty of winning experience in this league, someone who has won a Super Bowl and multiple MVP awards.
This is a great signing on paper, at least when looking at what he’s done in the past, but some analysts aren’t so sure this was a genius move.
Joy Taylor discussed this in a recent segment of ‘Speak’ on FS1, indicating that something has changed within the walls of the Steelers’ organization.
“The Steelers used to be about winning. The bar has been lowered,” Taylor said.

To Taylor, the Steelers aren’t as serious as they once were.
If they were serious, they wouldn’t have signed a player like Rodgers, who has divided locker rooms in the past with his leadership style and unconventional methods.
At the same time, the Steelers haven’t had any consistency under center for the last five years, and Rodgers’ experience could come in handy down the stretch, especially in the playoffs.
Only time will tell who was right about this situation, and how well things will turn out for Rodgers in the Steel City.
