The Green Bay Packers needed to get Josh Jacobs going.
The running back hadn’t found much success in the first three weeks, but it looked like a matter of time before he got back on track.
Of course, facing the Dallas Cowboys’ defense was an ideal spot for him to put his woes behind him.
Jacobs had one of the most unique games of his career in the Week 4 tie, as it was his second NFL game with at least 70 rushing yards and 70 receiving yards.
He finished with 86 rushing yards, 71 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

It was the type of performance one would expect from a player of his caliber.
Then again, context matters, and his disappointing numbers from the first three weeks of the season need to be examined closely.
The Packers’ offense didn’t need to run a lot of plays in Week 1 against the Detroit Lions.
Then, offensive line struggles played a huge part in Jacobs’ lack of efficiency, as he was often getting hit behind the line of scrimmage.
He had to fight twice as hard for every yard, and that’s not his fault.
In Week 3, he faced a Cleveland Browns’ run defense that has shut down almost every running back it’s faced this season, including Baltimore Ravens star Derrick Henry.
After Green Bay’s bye week, Jacobs should remain on track against the Cincinnati Bengals’ shaky run defense in Week 6.
