Inter Miami CF v Philadelphia Union: Line-ups, stats and preview

Inter Miami welcome the struggling Philadelphia Union to Nu Stadium in the MLS this weekend.

The reigning MLS champions head into the contest after a comfortable 2-0 win over the Portland Timbers, while Philadelphia remain rooted to the bottom of the Eastern Conference following a 1-1 draw with Columbus Crew.

Miami finally secured their first regular-season home win of the campaign last time out and now sit just two points behind conference leaders Nashville SC, albeit having played one game more.

Under interim boss Angel Guillermo Hoyos, the Herons have continued to rely heavily on their attacking quality, but their defensive display against Portland was equally encouraging.

A second straight home victory would mark the first time Miami have achieved that feat in MLS since October last year.

They also have the chance to record back-to-back home clean sheets in league play for the first time since early 2024.

The Herons are unbeaten in their last five meetings with the Union across all competitions and have won each of the last three MLS meetings played in Florida.

Miami are expected to be without Tadeo Allende due to a knee injury.

Frankie Westfield, Quinn Sullivan, Japhet Sery Larsen, Eddy Davis and Jesus Bueno are all doubts.

Olwethu Makhanya will miss the match through suspension.
