Insider Reveals How Jalen Ramsey Will Help Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been among the most consistent teams in the NFL for several years.

As most fans know, head coach Mike Tomlin has been a huge asset to the organization, and though they won a Super Bowl early in his tenure, things haven’t been as great lately.

Yes, the Steelers haven’t had a season under .500 with Tomlin as head coach, but they have had numerous struggles when it comes to making a deep playoff run.

It seems like they’re tired of being a middling team, as the Steelers have been quite active during the offseason.

They’ve executed big trades and notable signings, including quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Their latest move might have taken the cake, as it seems that fans and analysts alike have been in awe of their recent trade for Jalen Ramsey.

He is a top-tier defensive back when healthy and could be an impact player for the defense in numerous ways.

Insider Nick Farabaugh pointed out that the Steelers have had trouble defending opposing tight ends recently, and Ramsey could help in that regard.

“Isaiah Likely and Mark Andrews gave the Steelers trouble in that BAL matchup. Likely, in particular, was an issue. [Mike] Geisicki went 8 for 68 against them. [Travis] Kelce went 8 for 84 and a TD. I’d guess Ramsey is part of the answer to these TEs,” Farabaugh wrote on X.

With teams using tight ends as a bigger part of the offense, this is certainly an area the Steelers needed to improve if they want to compete in the AFC.

It will be interesting to see how Ramsey, and the rest of their offseason additions, pay off for Pittsburgh.
