Harry Kane strikes early but Bayern Munich pegged back in Paris

England captain Harry Kane scored his 54th goal of the season as Bayern Munich took an early lead against holders Paris St-Germain in the Champions League semi-final.

Bayern were on top from the off and were handed a 17th-minute penalty when former Liverpool man Luis Diaz was tripped.

Kane stepped up and casually finished past Matvey Safonov – incredibly Bayern’s 168th goal of the season.

Moments later Kane sent Michael Olise in on goal but he could not beat the Russian goalkeeper.

PSG then burst into life and while Ousmane Dembele should have scored when clean through, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia made no mistake to bury a low equaliser in the 24th minute.

A high-class game in Paris shows no sign of slowing down – you can follow it here.
