Israel launched a massive airstrikes on Damascus, focused on Syria’s defense ministry, in response to Syrian government attacks on Druze communities in the south.

The strikes follow escalating violence near Sweida, where Druze fighters are clashing with Syrian forces and Bedouin tribes, prompting Israel to act in defense of the Druze population.

US Secretary of State Rubio said:

• We are very concerned about Israeli strikes in Syria
• Says, the US is talking to all relevant sides and want fighting to stop.
