Former Falcons GM Has Landed A New Job

The New Orleans Saints are turning to an NFC South rival for some help.

According to insider Albert Breer, the Saints have added a former Atlanta Falcons executive to their organization.

Dimitroff played a major role in getting Atlanta to the Super Bowl, and he will try to do the same thing for New Orleans.

Dimitroff interviewed for the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans’ general manager vacancies this offseason before landing this role.

Former NFL GMs often find it more difficult to get back to their previous spot than head coaches do.

Now, Dimitroff will serve as an assistant to Loomis, the Saints’ longtime GM, providing input into everyday operations and roster building.

The Saints have failed to get back on their feet without quarterback Drew Brees and head coach Sean Payton.

They’re expected to be among the worst teams in the NFL this season, with first-year head coach Kellen Moore looking to bring the best out of a squad that may not have the talent to keep up, especially at quarterback.

However, as much as this might be a long season in New Orleans, securing a high pick in the 2026 NFL Draft would help, especially if it lands local product Arch Manning.
