FA Cup third round 2025/26 updates, text, stats

Manchester City open their FA Cup campaign with a routine-looking third round tie at home to League One side Exeter City on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola’s squad have seen their Premier League title challenge stutter with draws against Sunderland, Chelsea and Brighton, as well as a raft of defensive injuries.

Exeter will be backed by around 8,000 fans, having beaten Wycombe Wanderers 4-0 at home in the second round.

That victory started their current run of five wins and two defeats in eight games, including impressive victories over Barnsley and Luton Town.
