Eurostoxx futures -0.2% in early European trading

  • German DAX futures -0.4%
  • French CAC 40 futures -0.2%
  • UK FTSE futures -0.1%

We’re still yet to see the US-EU trade deal materialise and that might invite some caution heading into the final stretch of the week. Investors will have to be wary of that ahead of 1 August deadline next week, with a mixed showing in Wall Street yesterday not helping. The Dow closed down by 0.7% while tech shares led a stirring rally on the opposite end with the Nasdaq finishing 0.2% higher. Even if US futures are up 0.2% today, that’s still proving to be a bit of a drag for European equities ahead of the open.
