European indices see gains to kick start the new week

  • Eurostoxx +0.6%
  • Germany DAX +1.0%
  • France CAC 40 +0.3%
  • UK FTSE +0.4%
  • Spain IBEX +0.8%
  • Italy FTSE MIB -0.3%

This comes as US futures are also continuing to hold higher today, with S&P 500 futures now up 0.6%. After the heavy selling last week, things are calming down for now. But amid what should be a holiday-shortened week, the technical lines for US indices will be a key factor to watch as both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq are holding at their respective 100-day moving averages.
