European indices close mostly higher

The major European indices are ending the day mostly higher. The UK’s FTSE 100 is the one exception with a small decline.

The closing levels shows:

  • German DAX, +0.36%
  • France’s CAC, +0.54%
  • UK’s FTSE 100 -0.04%
  • Spain’s Ibex, +0.50%
  • Italy’s FTSE MIB, +0.13%.

As European traders exit, US stocks remain mixed with the Dow now marginally higher. The S&P and NASDAQ indices are lower. A snapshot of the market currently shows:

  • Dow industrial average is up 29.84 points or 0.06% at 46,411.38.

  • S&P 500 is down 12.43 points or 0.19% at 6,681.32.

  • Nasdaq composite is down 73.02 points or 0.32% at 22,715.95.

In the US debt market, yields are little changed

ahead of the 2 year note auction at 1 PM where the U.S. Treasury will auction off $60 billion of to your notes

  • US 2-year yield is down 0.002 points at 3.5987%.

  • US 5-year yield is down 0.003 points at 3.6927%.

  • US 10-year yield is down 0.008 points at 4.137%.

  • US 30-year yield is down 0.008 points at 4.7527%.
