European indices are closing higher with German DAX and France’s CAC up over 1.25%

The major European indices are closing higher with the German DAX and France’s CAC leading the way with gains over 1.25% for each. Looking at the closing levels:

  • German DAX, +1.49%
  • France’s CAC +1.29%
  • UK’s FTSE 100 +0.52%
  • Spain’s Ibex +0.78%
  • Italy’s FTSE MIB +0.92%

US indices are also higher but lighting near European counterparts. A snapshot of the US indices currently shows:

  • Dow industrial average, +0.43%
  • S&P index +0.46%
  • NASDAQ index +0.79%

The performer in the US is the small-cap Russell 2000 which is up 1.26%.

US yield or mixed with the short run higher in the longer end lower. The 30 year yield is dipping back below the 5.0% level.

  • 2-year yield 3.910%, +2.6 basis points
  • 5-year yield 3.993%, +0.9 basis points
  • 10 year yield 4.447%, -0.8 basis points
  • 30 year yield 4.992%, -2.2 basis points

Gold is trading down $11.19 or -0.34% at $3336.21.

Bitcoin is trading up $278 at $119,000. It traded as high as $119,244 today. The high price on Monday extended all the way up to $123,236 before retracing to a low price on Tuesday at $115,729.
