It took a while, but the New York Giants may have finally found a new franchise quarterback.
It seemed that they had done so in Brian Daboll’s first year as Daniel Jones’ head coach.
But even though Jones looks like an MVP candidate this season with the Indianapolis Colts, his days in New York ended on a sour note.
Now, with Jaxson Dart at QB, fans have a reason to be optimistic.
Two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning recently expressed a strong belief about Dart and the Giants.
“It feels like they’ve got their quarterback, they’ve got their guy, which is exciting,” Manning said.

Dart has been the best rookie quarterback in the NFL this season, and even though that bar isn’t high at all, he looks like someone worth building around.
He’s embraced a leadership role since being promoted over Russell Wilson, and his teammates are responding to him and feeding off his energy.
Unfortunately, that hasn’t translated into many wins so far.
Yet, it’s easy to see this team is trending in the right direction.
Dart hasn’t been overwhelmed by any situation, and he looks like a perfect fit for Daboll’s offense.
There will be some growing pains, and he has to clean up some things.
But if the Giants play their cards right and surround him with talent, Dart can be their QB1 for many years to come.
