The wire
Most of what appears on RawNews is a curated wire: headlines from established news organisations, linking directly to the outlet that did the reporting. We do not rewrite these, we do not claim them, and clicking one takes you to the original publisher.
RawNews articles
Articles published under the RawNews Desk byline are produced with AI-assisted drafting. Each one is a rewrite of a single report by a named, approved news publication. We do not present this as our own original newsgathering: every article names the publication whose reporting it is based on and links to the original report.
Accuracy, enforced by software
Before an article can publish, automated validation compares it against the original report it was written from. Quotations must match the source character for character. Every number, date, name and organisation must appear in the source. Every factual sentence must map to the specific source passages that support it. An article that fails any of these checks is not published — it is rejected, not fixed up.
What we attribute
Allegations, estimates, projections and disputed claims are attributed to whoever makes them. We do not state a claim as established fact because a party asserted it, and we do not add background, context or certainty that the source report does not carry.
What we do not publish
Opinion and commentary do not publish automatically under any circumstances. Crime coverage is never published without human review.
